Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
We care for a sustainable future

What does a FinTech like Innovestment have to do with sustainability?

Well, we think a lot:

  • sustainability is not a trend topic for us, but an expression of our corporate philosophy and our respect for people, society and the environment,

  • we feel it is our personal and corporate responsibility to take a long-term view of our actions and to focus clearly on their effects,

  • to think about what we ourselves can contribute to make the world a better place, and

  • to treat the people in our environment in a fair and respectful manner

In short: Corporate Social Responsibility means for us to practice economic, ecological and social sustainability.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

The orientation towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations form the basis for our own activities and for the demands we place on our projects. For us, this does not primarily mean an economic advantage, but corresponds to our ethical demand for a fair and equal society, which is characterized by value-creating cooperation between its participants. We have compiled a summary of all SDG for you below. You can also find more information on the pages of the United Nations.

How the SDG is reflected in our actions:

People want to know whether and to what extent the companies in which they invest take sustainability into account. Many people explicitly want to support projects that meet at least one of the sustainability goals. We agree with this:

We also apply the sustainability goals to which we commit ourselves when selecting our projects and partners. Already in the first phase of establishing contact, we identify the potentials and stimulate the implementation of the SDG during the cooperation. In order to make the goals visible to our investors, we work with the official SDG symbols of the United Nations in the project profiles.

  • We are committed to education, for example by providing financial education for everyone, for example in our magazine, and by working closely with universities - see our research page.
  • Together with the main and honorary office of the IHK Berlin, we are committed to the digitalization and modernization of the administration in order to reduce bureaucracy (more digital = less paper) and communication efforts of entrepreneurs and administration.
  • We are involved in the non-profit organisation European Crowdfunding Network (ECN), based in Brussels, together with other European platform operators for more transparency, common standards and a fundamental understanding of the role of crowdfunding as an alternative form of financing and the potential for the European economy and society.

  • We avoid unnecessary meetings with travel activity and instead arrange telephone or video conferences when possible.
  • We take business trips within Germany as well as Northern and Central Europe mainly by rail.
  • We maintain an almost paperless office. This also means that we do without paper in our investment projects and instead design all processes digitally. For 1,000 investment processes, which require an average of 50 sheets of paper, this saves around 13,000 liters of water, 2,680 kilowatt hours of energy and 750 kilograms of wood - the latter being equivalent to about half a spruce. • We act across gender, generation, and origin - equality as a matter of course for us
  • We rely on partnerships to achieve our goals, join existing networks and maintain our own.
  • We actively deal with (female) empowerment and entrepreneurship issues.
