Vereinte Energiegenossenschaft eG (VEG) focuses on the promotion of energy efficiency, renewable energies and energy storage possibilities. This is no longer just an issue for the experts - we are all called upon to make our contribution to the success of the sustainable energy revolution. We asked VEG board member Marc Banasiak to tell us more about his personal motivation and to give us an outlook on the future. This is the second part of the interview. You can read the first part here.
MB: The conviction to initiate and participate in positive developments. It is good to see that awareness of the issue of ecological energy is growing among the population. The pressing issues of our time, such as climate change, are finally getting the media attention they deserve - and our work is thus even more appreciated
MB: For me personally, it was absolutely right to leave auditing and instead get into the development of projects and their financing. Because that also meant concentrating on the future instead of almost exclusively analysing the past.
MB: Traditionally a calculator and the apps MOIA, ShareNow and StarMoney
MB: Hang in there and don't listen too much to people who don't have to take responsibility for their advice. But the most important thing is to always stay true to yourself.
MB: Sometimes it's just a gut feeling - and here the chemistry between the people involved is just right.
MB: Not yet. I have always had a very personal connection to my investments in that I have implemented them myself. But the concept is very exciting.
MB: Not a direct lucky charm, but I am a bit superstitious in some areas. For example, I don't like to talk about possible projects while the signatures are still missing.
MB: Inspiring encounters are not a question of celebrities for me. But if I could wish for an interlocutor - why not the Dalai Lama? His view of the world would interest me very much.
MB: Clarity.
