Meaningful cooperation has always been close to our hearts. "Partnerships to achieve the goals" is the last, yet very important, United Nations Sustainable Development Goal and one that perfectly reflects our strategy. That is why we are pleased to be able to present a new commitment to you today: Our inclusion in the Bundesinitiative Impact Investing (Biii).
How can we make people more aware of impact investing? To make our contribution to this, we have joined the federal initiative for Impact Investing. Through networking with other actors and lively exchange, we want to give more people better access to fair, sustainable financial products - in short: achieve a real transformation of the financial world and its products.
Let's take a closer look at the network:
The Bundesinitiative Impact Investing e.V. (Biii) promotes economic rethinking and social change in Germany. Investors, social entrepreneurs, intermediaries and financing experts jointly drive positive social development towards common goals such as the Sustainable Development Goals.
"Solving current societal challenges depends on financing societal solutions." Dr Martin Vogelsang, coordinator of the Bundesinitative Impact Investing
The focus of the Biii is on the development and expansion of the impact investing ecosystem in Germany. Additional capital is to be used to tackle social and ecological challenges. Four aspects play a role here.
The members of the association cover very different segments. In addition to the Bertelsmann Foundation, the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, the Association of German Foundations and PHINEO, all of which are among the supporting organisations in the start-up phase, other associations such as Social Entrepreneurship Netzwerk Deutschland eV. and academic institutes such as Centre for Social Investment Heidelberg are also involved. In addition, actors from financial practice as well as high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and family offices round off the diverse perspectives on impact investing. We will actively participate in the working groups "Initiative Impact Measurement and Impact Management" and "Initiative Policy and Regulation". Our goal is to also bring the perspective of crowdinvesting there, which enables a stronger impact orientation of the financial system. We are also planning a multi-stakeholder working group on the topic of "Crowdfunding and Crowdinvesting as a Catalyst for Impact Investing".
Our membership in the Biii rounds off our commitment. Learn more about our network.
